One of the highlights of this year’s festival is the brand-new event: Taste Matariki Trail. Coinciding with the celebration of Matariki, the Taste Matariki Trail is designed for and by locals. Taking inspiration from the stars of Matariki and Pohutukawa, we celebrate the time of harvest and feasting as well as connecting to our culture, heritage and ancestors. You will be able to enjoy the special menus, dishes and drinks designed for the event at partner restaurants.
In addition to the Taste Matariki Trail, there will be a range of other exciting events taking place throughout the city, such as cooking demonstrations, masterclasses, food tours, and live music performances.
